Dr. Wendi Waid

After earning a bachelor’s of science degree from Hiram College in Ohio, Dr. Wendi Waid pursued her passion for helping animals with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She began her veterinary career here at CLVH, where she was hired to expand the companion animal portion of the mixed animal practice. After four and one half years, she began working as a relief veterinarian and regional manager for a veterinary relief service, traveling throughout northwest Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania, guest doctoring at over thirty practices during the short time span of one and one half years. She was exposed to many different treatment practices and brought back a wealth of knowledge when she returned to CLVH and became Dr. Stanton’s partner. Dr. Waid is an experienced laser surgeon and she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and Northwestern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. She is active in the local chapter and attends various seminars to keep current with the latest information. Dr. Waid resides in Meadville with her wonderful husband, Todd, and their six-year-old twins: Ava and Charlie. The twins have entered into kindergarten this year, and are reported as “enjoying it immensely!” Naturally, her family also includes pets: three dogs and one cat (all in their golden years). Dr. Waid enjoys walking, cooking and absolutely loves being a mom!

Dr. Becky Stanton
Since Dr. Becky Stanton was a child, she has wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps to become a veterinarian.  She began her veterinary career by cleaning the kennels at the tender age of 7.  From there, Dr. Becky continued to help out at CLVH during her free time throughout junior and senior high school. Dr. Becky Stanton graduated with honors from Penn State Behrend in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She further pursued her dream of being a veterinarian at Mississippi State University, graduating in 2007.  She continued her educational experience by accepting an internship in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at MSU, where she practiced and taught large animal medicine for one year.  In August of 2008, Dr. Becky returned to her roots to practice at CLVH.  She looks forward to helping clients with all of their pet(s)’ wellness, medical, and surgical needs as well as growing the large animal medicine side of CLVH.  When not practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys hiking, canning, and in the winter cross-country skiing.  Her constant companion during these activities is her faithful lab, Annie.  Annie is a chocolate Labrador retriever rescue who hasn’t quite gotten used to our colder climate.  But Dr. Becky has solved her pooches cold weather woes by giving Annie a sweater and boots so she can play in the snow!
